Ahmed Umar presents a new series of photographs taken in Sudan recently. The photographs are inspired by the Sudanese saying “carrying the face of ugliness”, which is used for people who does something unfamiliar, confronts an issue and takes the blame for it. In this case, being gay.
Ahmed Umar is the first from Sudan who came out as gay on social media. Ha has become the face for many LHBT + people in Sudan, and he carries "the ugly face".
