Dennis Oppenheim (1938-2011) was one of the most adventurous American artists working during the post-minimalism, postmodernist period of the mid-1960s, all the way until his death in 2011. A pioneer of earthworks, body art and Conceptual art, Oppenheim later moved to making tangible installations and public sculpture. "Broken Record Blues" (1976) has been included in a number of important solo and group exhibitions including "Forty" at MoMA PS1, New York (2016).
