The Foursquare staircase introduces a new typology of vertical communication in architecture. The model is developed by visual artist and architect Tron Meyer as part of his study of the staircase as an architectural object. The design of the model is based on four spirals that allow you to explore individual ways of moving within a building. The exhibition at ROM presents a larger model where a framework of rooms are connected to the staircase to illustrate a building.
