Starting from the aesthetic and narrative style of the soap opera, the exhibition and video project «Days» explores the not so visible, but rapidly growing precariat – a social class defined by the false promises of neoliberalism, where freelance work is free, flexible and authentic, even though it has led to a generation characterised by economic instability. Can the broad social engagement of the soap opera be transferred to the art institution?
