In line with the avant-garde legacy of Henie Onstad, the triennial aims to foreground artists that are working experimentally with photography. Referencing László Moholy-Nagy’s manifest A New Instrument of Vision (1932) and its subsequent impact on 20th-century experimental photography, the title of the triennial is NEW VISIONS. The first edition will be curated by Susanne Østby Sæther in collaboration with Behzad Farazollahi and Christian Tunge.
