In 2016, the Danish government introduced the so-called jewelry law, which means that the authorities can deprive refugees of jewelery and other valuables to finance their stay in the country.Artist Shwan Dler Qaradaki has independently collected gold from the Arbat refugee camp in Iraqi Kurdistan.
